Hello there and Welcome to The Chunky Knot! Where we are making a difference one stitch at a time.

I'm Anita, married to my best friend of 26 years and I am the mom of six beautiful children. And a grandma to three beautiful babies. I am Crochet Designer with a background in Photography, Visual Graphics and Web Design. I am an accomplished poet and short story writer. Who loves to write about life and the challenges we have faced in it.

I enjoy creating my own designs, and working with many different textures. It also makes my heart feel good to announce that I love to recycle. I rescue wool and yarn from second hand stores, as well from old sweaters, blankets etc. it feels good to know I am making a difference in this world. 

How I can up with the name The Chunky Knot

I love working with chunky wool ,and I came across this beautiful yarn from Red Heart called Stellar.It had gold thread throughout the wool, and it felt so soft. So I decided to make a cowl out of it. And while I was crocheting I came to a knot. Which was very frustrating lol, but it worked out. And that is when The Chunky Knot got it's name.
